SpinWatch Cyber-stalkers tripped up

Very funny, but not a good model for a public interest project

Following SpinWatch-Watch’s exposé of the cyber-stalking at SpinWatch, the site has removed a number of home addresses it published to harrass hapless businessmen and local government officers.

It is good to see some admission of unethical behaviour, but perhaps the SpinWatchers ought to think about what was going through their heads when they thought it was a good idea to list people’s home addresses in the first place.

Wasn’t this the kind of frisson that inadequate poison-pen letter writers get when they imagine that they have hurt their victims?
